Predicting the cost of grooming using a probability model

This paper uses data from PetSmart to present a probability model that will allow grooming salons to predict clients' costs. The quantitative model is useful for developing and accepting capitation rates. It accounts for whether the care is initial or maintenance care, the type of dental care (such as full haircuts, trims, nail trims/ ear cleaning, etc.), and puppy vs adult stages of life, all of which affect the cost of grooming costs.
