GRADES
Grades will be based upon a midterm (30%), a paper (30%), and a final (40%). Work not turned in on time may be penalized for lateness.

Access Points, and Name Authority Control for Persons -- Sept. 17th Required Readings: Chan textbook -- Chapters 4 and 5 (pages 123-134). Homework (due next week): Workbook exercises 3,5,9,18-19,34,39 5. Name Authority for Geographic and Corporate Headings -- Sept. 24th Required Readings: Chan textbook -- Chapter 5 (pages 134 - 141) Homework (due next week): Work exercises 12-14, 21-22,24,26 6. Uniform Titles, and References -- Oct. 1st Required Readings: Chan textbook -- Chapter 5 (pages 141-144) & Chapter 6 Homework (due next week): Work exercises 20,23,30-31,35-36,40,42, 46-49,63,81 7. Review and Introduction to OCLC – Nov. 12th Required Readings 1. Chan textbook -- Chapter 15 Homework: OCLC/Prism tutorial. It is located on all computer stations in lab. It should take about 30 minutes to an hour to complete. In addition, do complete exercises 16,44-45,50-51,63-64. 13. OCLC and Review – November 19th Take-home final distributed tonight .
