THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE COMPARISON SCALE

    The Physical Appearance Comparison Scale  is a five-item scale that assesses an individual’s tendency to compare their own appearance to the appearance of others. The standardization sample consisted of 80 female undergraduates.  Internal consistency using Cronbach’s alpha was found to be .78 and test-retest reliability was .72
